Smart Card Readers
The new generation of smart card readers and cards allow individual memory sectors within the card (usually 16) to be programmed individually. The basic difference from the smart card readers to conventional proximity card or swipe card reader is that individual memory sectors are encrypted with data and then the card can be set up to read and write information from that card.
Siemens SiPass Integrated System
Ansador Ltd favour the Mifare system which is now rapidly gaining accreditation from both the public and private sector. This allows the card to be used for several functions, not only security but also vending, photocopy and other similar uses. The card can also be specified to be either contact or contact-less which is often known as proximity.
