Fingerprint Readers

It is likely that this is one of the most advanced forms of control available today. This is because it does not rely upon a card or a number, but the person’s biological identity.

Fingerprint Readers

There are many biometric access systems available including hand, face, retina and voice recognition as well as number of other combinations. We at Ansador Ltd have the two most popular systems; hand shape readers and fingerprint readers.

Fingerprint Readers

Both systems can be very useful when controlling access into a highly secure area. They can be built into cash transit vans, research areas and computer rooms where access control is of very high importance. The systems are available with ‘time and attendance’ software that make it possible to determine how long a person has been on site, for both safety and economic reasons.

Fingerprint Readers

The Biometric hand reader requires users to present their hand to the reader unit and after 3 sample reads will hold the shape of their hand in its memory. When the user wishes to gain access they tap their 4 digit PIN number and present their hand which is then compared to the record within the machine.

When the user wishes to gain access they tap their 4 digit PIN number and present their hand which is then compared to the record within the machine.

The Biometric finger print reader works in an almost identical manner and requires the user to present their finger to a small reader which can be built into a door, wall or other structure.

Fingerprint Reader

These systems can also be linked in with card access systems thus requiring staff to present their card and hand to gain entry.
The latest development in biometric access and fingerprint readers allows the finger print to be stored on a memory sector within the card rather than in the client’s database. This has two huge advantages:

  1. The client is absolved or any data protection issues as no finger print information is kept by the client.
  2. All finger print information is kept on the memory of the card so making loss of a database a thing of the past and the system is much less vulnerable. The information on the card is also encrypted keeping it highly secure.

This is achieved by using the latest read/write technology in Mifare cards. The user presents their valid card to the reader and if authorised has their finger print read and that information is then stored in the form of a unique reference number on one of the 16 spare memory slots on the standard 1k card.

While the finger print systems can be installed as a standalone unit it is easier to have the finger print reader linked onto a host card access system which allows the population of finger prints etc to be more easily managed.

The finger readers are normally mounted 1.2m off floor level.

They can be exterior rated now .One of the only versions that is proven to work outside and resist the temperature and moisture problems is the new exterior rated version.

In what will become a benchmark in the industry we are pleased to announce one of the best exterior rated finger print reader system.

It includes the following unique features….

  • Rated to IP65 so it will work outside
  • Will identify wet, greasy or even damaged finger prints
  • Fake finger print anti spoofing capabilities
  • Wide temperature operating range –25 to +70 degrees Celsius.
  • Optional integrated card reader in the unit.
  • Full colour integrated screen
  • Full IP and POE compatible
  • Will link to host systems such as Siemens Granta and Sipass integrated.
  • Use it for Access control and or Time and Attendance

This unit has the unique feature of being able to connect to main on line systems and being integrated with other CARD Access systems on the market today.

The market is not however restricted to finger print readers. The range of hand shape readers is finding favour and are particularly popular in time and attendance systems.

Designed to work with a code or a card to identify individuals. Quick and easy to use as a stand alone system or linked together on a host system.
