Door Entry Systems, as the name suggests allow a number of card readers around a building and in different buildings to be connected together so that the point of control is at one PC. The software within the multi door access system allows card holders to be set up to different time frame perimeters and access levels. It is not only possible to control different cards, doors and times but also create an audit trail of who went where and when. The software can also be networked across a number of PC`s in the building or buildings allowing several operators to manage and control the systems in different locations.
the facilities management office will typically control the issuing of the cards or passes to control who goes where and when. The human recourses department would the usually be given access to determine access times and time spent on site. Other users within the building will be able to access different areas of the software depending on the access rights granted by a password protection scheme. A multi door system could be of considerable benefit to those operating large buildings or offices which have several locations around the country. |
