Card Access

Card access systems are an effective yet simple way to control access in and around any building. Generally they are used for commercial buildings but suit a variety of applications. A simple swipe card or proximity card would be presented to a card reader located outside the door. When the card is read by the card reader the door will automatically unlock for a predetermined amount of time.

Some, including single door access systems, allow individual cards to be added and deleted individually. The more complex card access systems enable individual cards to be controlled by time zones enabling each card to have access at different times during the day. Linking the system to a PC ensures that an audit trail will be formed to determine when the cards were used and at which doors.
