Data Centres & CNI

Physical security
for the new CNI era.

UK data centres are now Critical National Infrastructure. The Cyber Security and Resilience Bill is reshaping operator duties. Your physical security posture is now a regulated obligation. We help operators meet it.

The reality on the ground

Data centres face a regulatory
step-change.

01

CNI designation, September 2024

UK data centres became Critical National Infrastructure. Your physical security posture is now subject to extending statutory duty under the Cyber Security and Resilience Bill. This is not a future problem.

02

Live hall delivery

Hot aisles, cold aisles, change-controlled environments. Most security integrators are not equipped to work inside a live data hall without affecting cooling, power, or operational risk profiles.

03

Cyber-physical convergence

Physical access logs, CCTV analytics, fire alarm states, all need to feed into the same operational picture as your network detection. Most fire and security companies don't speak the language of OT and IT convergence.

04

Suppression specialism

FM-200, Novec, VESDA, inert gas, very-early-warning detection. Data hall suppression is a specialism. Generic fire alarm companies do not deliver this safely or to standard.

How we work in your sector

A delivery model built for live environments.

We don't shut down sites to do our job. Our entire delivery model is designed around uptime, evidence,
and discretion in operational settings.

PHASE 01

CNI-aligned audit

Our Maturity Assessment maps your physical security posture against CNI duties under the Resilience Bill. You receive a gap analysis you can take to your board.

PHASE 02

Live hall integration

Phased deployment in live environments. We integrate with your change control, brief engineers on data hall protocols, and deliver without affecting uptime.

PHASE 03

Converged operations

Access control, CCTV analytics, suppression states feed into your DCIM, BMS and SIEM. One operational picture across the cyber-physical perimeter.

Standards we work to

The standards UK data centre operators are increasingly held to.

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the September 2024 CNI designation mean for my data centre's physical security?
UK data centres are now Critical National Infrastructure. The Cyber Security and Resilience Bill extends specific duties to operators including physical access control, intrusion detection, and incident reporting. Your physical security posture is now a regulated obligation, not just an operational good practice.
Do you work with the major DCIM and BMS platforms?
Yes. Our SIaaS infrastructure integrates with the leading DCIM and BMS platforms via standard APIs. Access control events, fire alarm states, and CCTV analytics feed into your existing operational dashboards. We do not require platform replacement.
Can you deliver in live data hall environments?
Yes. Our delivery model is built for live environments. We do hot-aisle and cold-aisle work without affecting cooling profiles, integrate with site change-control processes, and brief every engineer on data hall protocols before deployment.
What suppression systems do you work with for data halls?
FM-200, Novec 1230, IG-541 inert gas systems, and VESDA aspirating smoke detection. We design, install and maintain all major suppression systems to the relevant BS EN, NFPA and manufacturer standards. Suppression is a specialism, not every integrator can do it properly.
How does Ansador handle the convergence of physical and cyber security?
We treat the physical layer as part of the cyber-physical perimeter. Access control logs feed into your SIEM. CCTV analytics surface anomalies that complement network detection. Our engineers carry credentials and we operate under ISO 27001 principles.
What SLAs do you offer for data centre clients?
Outcome-based SLAs: response time, uptime, evidence delivery. For Tier III and IV facilities we offer one-hour response with on-site engineering presence within four hours. The contract pays for outcomes, not hours.
