Life Sciences & Pharmaceuticals

GxP-aligned.
Inspection-ready,
every day.

Physical security and life safety infrastructure for pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotech R&D, clinical trial sites and medical device companies. Built for MHRA scrutiny, GMP environments and the protection of IP that took decades to create.

Life sciences laboratory facility protected by Ansador Group.

Life sciences manufacturing and R&D. Environments where security failure is a regulatory event, not just an operational one.

01

Martyn's Law is now law

Royal Assent April 2025. Venues over capacity thresholds carry new statutory duties for protective security and evacuation planning. Most operators are still working out what compliance actually looks like.

02

Brand standards across the portfolio

Hotel groups demand consistency across every site without compromising the local property's character. Most security integrators deliver one or the other, not both.

03

Guest experience is everything

A visible camera in the wrong place affects the rate the room can charge. Security infrastructure has to be designed against guest experience, not just technical specification.

04

24/7 operations, narrow work windows

Hotels never close. Every infrastructure visit fits between guest checkouts, room turnarounds, and event bookings. Most contractors aren't built for this rhythm.

How we work in your sector

A delivery model built for regulated environments.

We do not treat pharmaceutical sites like office buildings. Our entire approach is calibrated for GMP, cleanroom and controlled substance environments where documentation is as important as the work itself.

PHASE 01

Regulatory-mapped audit

Our Maturity Assessment is calibrated against MHRA expectations and GxP requirements. You receive a gap analysis your QA function can use directly, mapped to your site master file and quality management system.

PHASE 02

Change-controlled deployment

All works on GMP sites are executed within your change management framework. Documented risk assessments, impact analysis, installation records and qualification documentation are standard deliverables, not extras.

PHASE 03

Inspection-ready operations

Tamper-evident access logs, automated maintenance evidence, and continuous compliance monitoring. When MHRA arrives, the records are already complete. We do not do retrospective documentation.

Standards we work to

The regulatory framework your estate must satisfy.

Life sciences security sits at the intersection of physical security standards and pharmaceutical regulation. Most integrators know one side. We work across both.

MHRA GMP Chapter 3
Premises and equipment requirements under EU GMP. Physical access control and environmental monitoring are directly in scope.
FDA 21 CFR Part 211
Current Good Manufacturing Practice for finished pharmaceuticals. Physical security of manufacturing and laboratory areas is a current GMP requirement.
FDA 21 CFR Part 11
Electronic records and audit trails. Physical access logs that feed electronic quality management systems must be tamper-evident and structured for integration.
Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001
Schedule 1 and 2 controlled substance storage. Home Office and ACPO physical security standards apply. Non-compliance carries criminal liability.
ISO 27001 Annex A.11
Physical and environmental security controls. For life sciences firms handling clinical data, physical access to IT environments is within ISO 27001 scope.
BS EN 54 / RRO 2005
Fire detection and life safety standards. Pharmaceutical sites with high-value assets and hazardous materials require fire system design beyond standard commercial spec.
Proof, not promises

"Life sciences clients do not need a security contractor who learned GMP last month. They need a partner who understands that in a regulated environment, the documentation of the work is as important as the work itself. That is how we operate."

GOT QUESTIONS?

Life Sciences, answered.

How does Ansador support MHRA inspection readiness?
MHRA inspectors expect to see documented, tamper-evident records of access events, system tests, and maintenance activity. Our SIaaS contract generates this evidence continuously. When an inspector arrives, the records are complete and exportable without a manual scramble.
Can you work in GMP manufacturing environments?
Yes. GMP sites require work to be carried out under change control, with documented risk assessments and no unplanned disruption to production. Our engineers are briefed on GMP protocols, and all works are planned and executed within your change management framework.
How do you handle controlled substance storage areas?
Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 storage requires specific physical security standards under the Misuse of Drugs Regulations. We design and maintain access control and intruder detection to Home Office and ACPO guidelines, with tamper-evident audit logs exportable for regulatory inspection.
Can you cover both R&D campuses and manufacturing sites under one contract?
Yes. Most life sciences clients operate across both environments, with fundamentally different security and life safety requirements on each. SIaaS is designed for this. One contract, one dashboard, every site visible, with site-specific configurations maintained within the platform.
How do you approach clean room and laboratory environments?
Clean room access control requires credential management that does not introduce contamination risk. We work with card, PIN and biometric solutions appropriate to the cleanroom classification, with gowning room integration and airlock protocols built into the access control logic.
Do you support FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements?
21 CFR Part 11 applies to electronic records and signatures in FDA-regulated environments. Physical access logs that feed into your electronic quality management system are in scope. We ensure audit trails from physical security systems are tamper-evident, time-stamped, and structured for integration with your EQMS.
